Partials
A partial is one solution for replacing missing teeth. When you save your remaining teeth and have a partial denture, you'll chew better, look better, and have a healthier mouth. Replacing missing teeth is important because if left unreplaced the spaces can result in several new problems. The teeth adjacent to, above and below the spaces will shift.
This can result in more cavities, periodontal disease and difficulty chewing. Also, the teeth provide support for your facial muscles and without them you face will begin to sag and cause premature wrinkling and aging.
A typical partial is held in place by metal clasps that fit around the anchor teeth. The metal can be bulky and not pleasing to the eye. Dr. Cornette can provide you with a better solution: a resin partial! The traditional metal is replaed with a thermoplastic resin frame. You get the same function and support but with a more natural smile.
