Vine Grove Chamber of Commerce News

The Vine Grove Chamber of Commerce held it's monthly luncheon on Aug. 9, at the Vine Grove City Hall building. The keynote speaker was Chris Ordway, publisher of The News-Enterprise. He spoke about some of the challenges to producing accurate, credible, and timely media including technology and computers and how they have influenced the dynamics of media. Ordway has been with Landmark Community Newspapers Inc -- the parent company of The News-Enterprise -- since graduating from Murray State University in 1989. He was presented with a commemorative plaque of historic Vine Grove from Chamber president Dr. William Perks of Eriksen Chiropractic.

Dr. Philip Cornette's dental practice was honored as the Chamber's Business of the Month. Dr. Cornette has practiced dentistry in Radcliff for seven years. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisville's School of Dentistry. He is also an active member of the Aesthetic Dental Society of Louisville and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Perks presented Dr. Cornette and his staff a framed certificate to commemorate the occasion.

The Vine Grove Class of 1956 was honored as the Chamber's Civic Club of the Month. The luncheon sponsor was Hospice and Palliative Care of Central Kentucky.
